This page lists everything Volaren Inc. stores in your browser, what each item does, and how to change your choice. It is part of our Privacy Policy. Questions: support@volaren.ai.
1. What we store, and why
Essential items are needed to deliver what you asked for: to keep you signed in, to remember your preferences, or to remember your answer to the cookie notice. They are set without asking. Optional items are set only after you accept them in the notice, and you can withdraw that at any time below.

The cookies whose names begin v_ or vl_ are first-party: set by volaren.ai, readable only by volaren.ai, never shared, and never used to follow you across the web.
The _gcl_ cookies are different, and they are set only if you accept. They belong to Google Ads, which we use to measure which of our advertisements lead people to sign up. Accepting also loads a measurement pixel from OpenAI, used for the same purpose on advertising we run there. Both are advertising vendors, both can recognise your browser on their own services, and neither runs at all until you have accepted. If you choose Essential only, no advertising vendor is contacted and nothing of theirs is stored.
2. Things that are not cookies
Page analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It stores nothing in your browser: visits are counted against a hash that changes every day and cannot be turned back into you, which is why it is not behind the notice.
Error reporting. If the site crashes in your browser, a report goes to Sentry with personal data scrubbed before it leaves. No identifier is stored in your browser for it.
Fonts. Type is loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files directly, which tells Google your IP address; Google sets no cookie for this.
Features you use. Some features remember their own state in your browser so they work the way you left them: a draft, a collapsed panel, whether you finished the walkthrough. That is part of the feature you chose to use, and it is never shared.
3. Your choice
The notice you saw on your first visit has two answers. Accept sets the optional cookies listed above and loads our advertising vendors' measurement tags. Essential only sets nothing optional, loads no vendor, and removes anything optional that was already there. Either way the site works the same, and the person who referred you is still credited if you sign up from their link.
Changing your answer to Essential only later withdraws your consent with both vendors and deletes their cookies immediately. Each is told in its own supported way — Google through Consent Mode, OpenAI through its pixel's consent command — and both honour it in the page you are already looking at, without needing a reload. Reloading removes the vendors' code from the page as well.
You can also clear cookies for volaren.ai in your browser at any time; the notice will simply ask again.
4. Changes
If we add anything to this list we will update this page and the notice before it is set. The date at the top is the current version.
