Trade by text
Text Volaren like you would text a person. Ask a question and your Copilot texts back the answer. Text a trade and Volaren texts back the exact order, then places it at your own broker when you reply yes. Your AI agents ask for your approval by text too.
Start freeTurn it on
- Open Settings, then Notifications, then Text Volaren.
- Choose where Volaren texts you: iMessage (SMS on phones without iMessage) or WhatsApp.
- Enter your phone number, tick the consent box and press Get my code. Type the six-digit code we text you, or text your code to the number Volaren shows. A code lasts ten minutes.
- Your number is linked, and Settings shows the number to text (“Text us at …”), and the welcome text carries Volaren’s contact card.
- To place real-money orders with a typed yes, turn on Trade by text in Settings. Practice-money orders work by text from the start.
The Text notifications switch in the same place sends money updates and things that need you by text, beside push.
What you can text
Write the way you would say it. A few of the messages Volaren understands:

How a trade by text is confirmed
Every order is repeated back before it is placed. Text “sell all my MU in Webull” and Volaren replies:
Sell all 212 MU in Webull, market, about $21,400. Reply yes to place it.
- An explicit yes places it: “yes”, “yes please”, “yes place it” or “yes do it”, in any case. Code reads that reply, never an AI model, so “ok”, “y” or “sure” leave the order waiting.
- The yes answers that exact order. It is bound to the account, the side, the symbol and the exact shares, and works once, within ten minutes. A new echo replaces the old one.
- The price is checked again at your yes. If it moved more than 5%, or your holding changed, Volaren texts the updated order for a fresh yes.
- After hours, it waits for the open. The echo says so: “it goes to your broker for the open”.
- A big order can be split. An order over $10,000, or over 1% of the stock’s daily trading, is offered as a split, about $1,000 a minute. Reply “stop order” to end a split at any time.
Some answers end with a link. An answer’s link opens the full answer in Volaren, with its sources, charts and next steps. When an action needs your approval, such as a real-money copy of a person, the text carries a link that opens that card, ready for one tap. On a computer that is signed out, one tap on the link signs you in.
AI agent approvals by text
An AI agent in “I approve each batch” mode texts you every batch it wants to place, with its reason:
Momentum wants to buy 20 VST, about $3,100, because … Reply YES to approve, NO to skip.
- YES approves that batch through the same approve as the button in Volaren, and Volaren texts back what filled.
- NO, “no thanks”, “nope” or “skip” skips it: “Skipped. Nothing was placed.”
- Your reply answers the newest request. A request that comes during your quiet hours (9pm to 7am in your timezone by default) is texted when they end.
- An agent trading automatically texts you after each trade, with what it did and why. Reply “undo” within a day to cancel what has not filled, or “pause” to pause the agent.

Safety
- Your number only. Texts are answered only from the number you verified with a code, and each number links to one Volaren account.
- A confirm step on every order. Nothing is placed without your explicit yes to the exact order Volaren repeated back. A yes is used once.
- Your choice for real money. A typed yes places real money only after you turn on Trade by text in Settings, and you can turn it off there any time.
- The same checks as the Trade button. Every order by text goes through the same order path as the app, with every check it holds: the account’s buying power and holdings, your plan, and each order sent once. An AI agent’s batch keeps every limit on its card.
- Your money stays at your broker. Orders are placed in your own connected brokerage account, where your cash and holdings stay.
- STOP works any time. Text STOP and Volaren sends nothing more until you text START.
Which channel it uses
- iMessage, from a real 10-digit number, with blue bubbles, read receipts and a typing bubble while Copilot works. Charts arrive as pictures.
- SMS on phones without iMessage, with the same answers in plain text.
- WhatsApp, when you pick it in Settings. Items that need you come with buttons: Review, Keep and Not now.
What it costs
Texting Volaren comes with your Volaren plan, with no charge per text from Volaren. A question you text uses the same credits as one you type in Volaren, and on Free it counts toward your free answers for the month. Questions
Do I need the app to text Volaren?
No. Once your number is linked, you text Volaren from your phone’s own Messages or WhatsApp. Links in a text open Volaren in your phone’s or computer’s browser.
What counts as a yes?
“yes”, “yes please”, “yes place it” or “yes do it”, in any case, with one ! or . after. For an AI agent’s request, YES approves and NO or skip passes.
What if I change my mind after the echo?
Text the change (“make it half”) and Volaren repeats the new order. Only your yes to the latest echo places anything.

Can I trade on practice money by text?
Yes. Practice orders and practice AI agents work by text from the start, with the same echo and yes.
Does Volaren charge for texts?
No. Texting comes with your plan. Your carrier’s usual message and data rates may apply.
How do I stop texts?
Text STOP, or turn off Text notifications in Settings. Text START to turn texts back on.
