Asset classes are what Volaren reads in that account. Where it trades, your AI agent places stocks and ETFs, plus crypto where the account itself lists the coin; at OANDA it trades EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD and NZD/USD.

Your money stays at your broker

Volaren never holds your money or your shares. They stay in your own account at your broker, and every order is placed in that account in your name. Brokers connect through SnapTrade with your own sign-in: Volaren never sees or stores your broker username, password or two-factor codes, only a connection token, kept encrypted. At OANDA and Kalshi you paste a key you made in that account, and Volaren keeps it encrypted. Disconnect at any time.

How it works

1. Open the terminal and choose Connect a brokerage. It has two tabs: Read and trade and Read only.
2. Pick your broker and sign in on its own page. For OANDA, paste a personal access token from your OANDA account.
3. Choose read only, or read and trade at a broker where Volaren places orders. Reading and trading both come with every plan, Free included.
4. Your holdings and balances sync into one view, next to every other account you connect.
5. Give an AI agent an account to trade in, its budget and its limits, and choose approve each batch or automatic.

What an AI agent can do

• At every broker: see each holding, explain what moved and why, research what you own, flag what needs a look, and suggest tax-aware next steps with losses worth harvesting checked across all your accounts.
• At a broker where Volaren trades: place the orders you approve, or trade automatically inside its limits: a monthly budget, a largest order, a largest position and a cap on orders a day. Anything outside them comes to you to approve, by push notification or by text.
• At a read-only broker: prepare each trade sized to that account, with its reason, for you to place there.

After an order, Volaren reads the account again, so your holdings show the fill.

Practice accounts

Every Volaren account comes with a practice account holding $100,000 of practice money, and you can open as many more as you like, each with its own cash. Pick a broker style (Robinhood, Schwab, Interactive Brokers, Alpaca, Kalshi or a general one) and it trades what that broker offers. Practice money is always kept apart from real money, and every screen says which one you are looking at.

Brokers’ own practice accounts connect too: Alpaca Paper, Trading 212 Practice and OANDA practice take orders from Volaren like any trading broker, with no real money at stake.
